Privacy is important to Extraordinary Women on Boards. This policy describes the type of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you use our website https://www.ewobnetwork.com or our Member Site https://www.members.ewobnetwork.com (collectively, the “Website”), our mobile application and any mobile applications we may develop in the future (each, an “App”), and your engagement with our services, including, without limitation, when you engage with us through a virtual or in-person event or otherwise, or when you make any purchases (such as a paid membership) (collectively, the “Services”) and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information. Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. When you use our Services, you are consenting to the collection, use, sharing, and storage of your Personal Information as described below.

This Privacy Policy supplements and is incorporated into our Terms of Service which, together with this Privacy Policy, govern your use of the Services. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by the Services. Capitalized terms used but not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meaning given to them in the Terms of Service. The terms “Extraordinary Women on Boards” or “EWOB” or “us” or “we” or “our” refer to Extraordinary Portfolios LLC, a New York limited liability company, the owner of the Services. The terms “you” or “your” refer to the user or viewer of the Services.

Information Collection

Information You Provide to Us

  • We collect information directly from you when you create an account, request customer support, or otherwise communicate with us. The categories of information we collect include: Identification and Contact Information, such as: (1) your name; (2) board names and information; (3) geographic information; (4) employer information; (5) email address; (6) home address; (7) order and payment information; and (8) comments, requests, and other information you may offer (“Personal Information”);

  • Financial Information: We collect payment information through third party payment processors.

  • Communication Information: We collect information included in your communications with us. 

  • Information that you provide by filling in the member application or other forms on our Website, including but not limited to information provided at the time of registering for the Services or when you attend a virtual event or similar promotion sponsored by us;

  • Records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses) if you contact us;

  • Your responses to optional surveys, polls, or other similar items that we might distribute;

  • Posts you may contribute on the Website;

  • Details of transactions you carry out through our Website and of the fulfillment of your orders. You may be required to provide financial information before placing an order through our Services; and/ or

  • Your search queries on the Services.

  • Any other information you choose to provide. 

You also may provide information to be published or displayed (hereinafter, “posted”) on member-facing areas of the Services, including but not limited to, message boards, forums, and other interactive features, or transmitted to other users of the Services or third-parties (collectively, “User Contributions”). Although we limit access to certain pages and you may set certain privacy settings for certain information by logging into your account profile, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. Additionally, even though we have created and require agreement to community rules, we cannot control the actions of other users of the Services with whom you may choose to share your User Contributions. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that your User Contributions will not be viewed by unauthorized persons. 

Information We Collect Through Automatic Means

We automatically collect the following categories of information:

  • Internet Activity Information: We collect information about how you access our Website, including data about the device and network you use, such as your hardware model, operating system version, mobile network, IP address, unique device identifiers, and browser type. We also collect information about your activity on our Website and interaction with our communications, such as access times, pages viewed, links clicked, and the page you visited before navigating to our Website.

These technologies help us improve our Website and communications, see which areas and features of our Website are popular, count visits, and track clicks. Third Parties

Articles and other information shared on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content.

In addition to the third-party content above, EWOB currently engages Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”) to help EWOB analyze how users use the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information that does not include your Personal Information to help EWOB evaluate your use of the Website, compile reports on Website activity and provide other information related to the Services and Website usage. EWOB may permit Google and, from time to time, other such third-party analytics providers to combine information collected through EWOB’s Services with information collected from third-party services, and these analytics providers may use this information to help EWOB better understand EWOB’s users. We expressly disclaim any and all liability for the actions of third parties. The privacy practices of any third parties are outside the scope of this Privacy Policy and their use or disclosure of your information (including your Personal Information) will be governed by their own privacy practices or policies. Information Use

We use the categories information that we collect for the following business and commercial purposes:

  • Service Delivery: We use information to provide and maintain our Services.

  • Communication: We use information to communicate with you about EWOB and our Services, including to send you newsletters, notify you of events, respond to your questions, inform you of price or Services changes, and send you other transactional or relationship messages.

  • Marketing and Advertising: We use information to send direct marketing messages (including via email) and target advertisements to you on third-party platforms and websites as described below.   • Conducting Analytics: We use information to monitor and analyze Website trends, usage, and activities, improve our Website, and generate de-identified data. 

  • Protection and Compliance: We use information to detect, investigate, and help prevent security incidents and other malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, help protect the rights and property of EWOB and others, and comply with our legal and financial obligations.

Targeted Advertising and Analytics

We engage others to provide analytics services, serve advertisements, and perform related services. These entities may use cookies, web beacons, device identifiers, and other technologies to collect information about your use of our Website and your activities across the web and in third-party mobile applications, including your IP address, web browser and mobile network information, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and links clicked. This information is used to deliver advertising targeted to your interests on other companies’ sites or mobile apps and to analyze and track data, determine the popularity of certain content, and better understand your activity.

Disclosure of Information 

We disclose the categories of information described above as follows:

  • Vendors: We disclose information to vendors, service providers, contractors and consultants that need this information to provide services to us, such as companies that assist us with web hosting, payment processing, customer service, analytics, and marketing and advertising.

  • Professional Advisors: We disclose information to our lawyers and other professional advisors where necessary to obtain advice or otherwise protect and manage our business interests.

  • Legal Authorities: We may disclose information to legal authorities and others for the Protection and Compliance purposes described above, including if we believe that disclosure is in accordance with, or required by, any applicable law or legal process, including lawful requests by public authorities to meet national security or law enforcement requirements and if we believe that your actions are inconsistent with our user agreements or policies, if we believe that you have violated the law, or if we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property, and safety of EWOB, our users, the public, or others.

  • Corporate Transactions: We reserve the right to disclose information in connection with, or during negotiations of certain corporate transactions, including the merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company. 

  • Affiliates: We reserve the right to disclose information between and among EWOB and any current or future parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and other companies under common control and ownership.

  • Consent: We may disclose information when we have your consent or you direct us to do so.

We also disclose de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you. 

Information Retention

We retain the information we collect from you for as long as we deem necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless otherwise required and authorized by applicable law. 

Your Access to and Control Over Information

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the Personal Information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:

Tracking Technologies and Advertising. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this site may then be inaccessible or not function properly.

  • Contacts Directly From EWOB.  You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can contact us to do the following:

    • See what data we have about you, if any.

    • Modify any data we have about you.

    • Delete any data we have about you.

    • Express any concern you have about our use of your data.

 Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the Services, your information is protected both online and offline. Wherever we collect sensitive information, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the Web page. The computers servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

EWOB will make its best efforts to protect your information, but EWOB cannot, however, ensure or warrant the security of any information that you transmit to us or store on the Services, and you do so at your own risk. We also cannot guarantee that such information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of EWOB’s physical, technical, or administrative safeguards.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act

The Services are intended for general audiences 18 years of age or older. The Services are not directed to children under 13 years old. We do not target the Services to children under 13, and we do not intentionally collect any information from users under 13. If you are under 13, do not use or provide any information through the Services. If you become aware that a child has used the Services, and we may have Personal Information about a user under 13, please contact us at hello@ewobnetwork.com, so we may delete the information. 

Transfer of Information

EWOB is headquartered in the United States and we have operations and vendors in the United States and other countries. Therefore, we and those that perform work for us may transfer your information to, or store or access it in, jurisdictions that may not provide levels of data protection that are equivalent to those of your home jurisdiction. 

Changes and Updates to Privacy PolicyThis Privacy Policy may be revised periodically, and this will be reflected by the date above. Please revisit this page to stay aware of any changes. Your continued use of the Services constitutes your agreement to this Privacy Policy and any future revisions.

Assignment

You may not assign, delegate, or otherwise transfer this Agreement or any of its rights or obligations hereunder, whether by operation of law or otherwise, without the prior written consent of EWOB. Any attempted assignment, delegation, or transfer in violation of this Section shall be null and void. These Terms may be assigned, subcontracted, delegated or otherwise transferred by EWOB in its sole discretion. These Terms of Service shall be binding upon any permitted assignees.
